Alice is known as the pixie - for good reason, too. She has short, flippy hair (though does attempt to tame it) and a cute button nose. Her skin is pale and hard, like all other vampires are. Due to the nature of her diet, Alice's eyes remain a pool of gold specks, darkening, as do her undereyes, when she gets hungry. She is really into fashion and so can almost always be seen sporting a new pair of heels or a new dress. Alice does enjoy a cute pair of fitted jeans once in a while, as well. Alice appreciates her body that was given to her as a result of being a vampire; she was never given much attention as a human, and at first enjoyed the longing looks humans gave her as a vampire.

FATHER: Carlisle Cullen
SIBLINGS: Emmett, Rosalie, Edward
OTHERS: Jasper Hale - husband, mate
PETS: None
BEST MEMORY: Meeting Jasper. Second best is when they met the Cullen's.
WORST MEMORY: The day she realized what she had become after being turned. She was lonely and frightened, unsure of what to do as the vampire who changed her was killed.
HISTORY:
Mary Alice Brandon was born on April 12, 1901 in Biloxi, Mississippi. She was raised in a middle-class home, with her father being away mostly due to his work as a jeweler and a pearl trader. Her mother tended to their home and to Alice's childhood needs. They were very close as mother and daughter, even despite Alice's attempts to convince her that she had premonitions - visions. Her mother was skeptical, of course, but a day came where Alice had a vision about her cousin fatally falling off a ladder - which did, in fact, happen. Alice told her mother about it beforehand, and when the incident eventually occurred, her mother believed Alice. Alice was glad to finally have someone who believed her, because even after all of the convincing she tried on her father, he didn't believe one single bit of it.
Most of the town, by that point, had begun talking about Alice's 'gift.' Her mother didn't mean any harm by it, but she had discussed it with her sister - the mother of Alice's cousin. Her aunt then went on to gossip about Alice to her friends, and the rumors spewed out of control. This happened during a point when her father was out on business. When he returned and tuned into the rumors about his daughter, he was ashamed and embarrassed - especially over the fact that Alice's mother was at the root of the situation. The relationship between Alice and her father - and between Alice's parents, even - was very strained. Her father tried his best to keep up his reputation in town, while Alice's mother stayed low and lost her will to fight for her daughter's good name. Alice's sister, Cynthia, had always been daddy's little girl - even when it was their mother that tended to their every whim and cry. Cynthia wasn't a very likeable child in Alice's eyes, and they never got on very well. Cynthia was certainly among those that teased Alice for her visions - completely denying them, of course, but certainly teasing of her claims that she was any more 'special' than Cynthia. So when Cynthia sided with her father in trying to keep up their family's reputation, it didn't surprise Alice that they pretty much cut off all communication despite living under the same roof.
Alice was horrified when she had a vision of her mother being murdered. Her mother believed her, of course, when she begged her to see the reality in her claim. Her mother, frightened, turned to her husband who completely brushed it off - acting as though they were both even more disgusting than they'd previously presented to him. For a couple of months, Alice's mother walked around in very high defense, making sure to carry a knife with her under her coat. At that point, it was Winter, so it was easy to conceal weapons. Although Alice's mother was a kind woman (this is where Alice gained it from,) she was not hesitant in defending herself, knowing that her daughter would be left in the hands of her husband who was obviously not looking out for either of their best interests. A day came where Alice's mother decided that a long enough time had passed that Alice's vision must not be coming true. She couldn't have been more wrong. That day she was murdered, and Alice's world crumbled all around her. It wasn't long from then that her father remarried to a young, blonde Yankee from Illinois. The woman treated Alice coldly and praised her sister, Cynthia. Alice swore it was a complete setup - the murder and the remarriage. But, her father paid her absolutely no mind and threatened her not to talk ill of his new bride again.
The once-lively Alice became a very quiet and lonely girl. She was distressed from living in such cold conditions, with her new 'family' worsening by the day - and her desperation for her mother's touch growing. A few weeks after her father remarried, Alice was shut up in her room when she had a vision where she saw her mother's killer coming after her, which concluded her entire theory that her father was being the killing. Not only had he killed her mother, but he was after her, too. Alice ran for her life. The only place she had to go to, though, was her aunt's. But her aunt and uncle were too displeased with her from the death of their son that they wouldn't let her stay. Alice then rushed to the town marshal, but by then her father had already urged the town that Alice was mad. Once she reached the marshal, she was immediately captured and thrown into an insane asylum two counties away, where she'd never see the light of day again.
She spent two years at the asylum, from the time she was seventeen until she was nineteen. During those two years, she depended on a loving man - a vampire, unbeknownst to her at the time - for comfort. He was a worker at the asylum, supposed to give them treatments and such. But he and Alice had a very natural bond that of father and daughter - a very blooming friendship, indeed. As Alice never had a father that treated her with such respect and care, she felt that even though she had to endure pain and suffering, the love she felt in those few years was worth it. The man frequently approached her with objects in his hands to test her powers, sure that she was a brilliant young woman. She endured electroshock therapy which rendered her with total amnesia, but all was not lost. From this therapy, Alice gained back her bubbly personality. That, along with the natural bond she had with the asylum worker, inspired her to keep living in hopes that she would finally be free.
Two months after her nineteenth birthday, a vampire tracker named James caught her scent was and after her. The vampire asylum worker caught notice and immediately bit her in order to save her life. He then went to find James and prevent him from getting to Alice - but his efforts were failed and resulted in the loss of his own life. Alice was horrified that her fatherly-figure had defended her in such a way, sure that his attempt was meaningless. With James after her, there was no way she would survive. But being a young vampire, Alice's gifts with precognition were only enhanced, making her a very talent and sought after vampire. When James discovered this, he decided to let her go - only to see what she would become when grown. Alice could not remember her memories after being turned into a vampire, from the pain she endured from the venom. She remembered vaguely the feelings that she'd possessed through her lifetime, which helped her conclude later that her mother had been killed and she lived in a cold environment after. But the specifics are still very fuzzy to her.
Alice's first vision after becoming a vampire was of her and Jasper - in love and with the Cullen family. From then, she grew eager and very optimistic. She traveled alone for a while, feeding randomly in various wooded areas, careful not to attract suspicion from humans or disturb any other vampires that might have lived there. Thankfully, her journey was quite peaceful. In 1948, she waited for Jasper to arrive in an empty diner in Philadelphia. Her self-control by then was very good, comparable to the Cullens', having lived a Vegetarian lifestyle due to her vision showing her that was 'the way' (plus she had a very strong conscience.) Jasper quickly reciprocated her feelings for him, which she was thoroughly excited about. Jasper hadn't lived such a lifestyle as her own, and Alice was worried that this would risk their chances of joining the Cullens. For two years after their meetings, Alice and Jasper wandered the U.S. alone while Alice tried to get Jasper adjusted to the lifestyle. In 1950, Jasper was still not as in control of his urges as Alice was, but Alice felt that his progression would only continue as time passed. With that, they approached the Cullens, and with little hesitance were accepted into their coven.
For the first time in a long time, Alice felt completely happy. She and Jasper married shortly after, and they began attending various schools together. Jasper didn't begin school as soon as Alice did, for his control was not up to par. But eventually he joined Alice and the others, and their lives could not have been any more perfect. Alice took various courses in fashion and business, which helped refine her credits. Through fashion classes, she discovered it was something she really loved. Being older, Alice got to experience different fashion fads, in's and out's through the ages as they came and went. Alice loved being a part of it. Although she had thought of having a child, she wasn't sure if Jasper would ever be ready for something like that - and so had never brought it up. But being a very pixie-like, happy vampire, Alice doesn't like bringing up topics that would disturb those vibes - unless they hurt or compromise someone she loves, which would include Jasper or any of the Cullens. Ultimately, despite her small frame, Alice is a strong vampire and very protective of her family. While at first she wasn't fond of having her precognition gifts string into her 'new life,' she has found them helpful in recognizing harm coming their way. Being so protective and defensive of her family, Alice can think of no greater strength than having the ability to give insight to further help their seemingly-perfect lives.
Aside from keeping them safe, Alice likes to be the vampire among them that implements joy. Oftentimes, the pressures, controls, and secrecy of being a vampire can overcome pleasant ideas and actions they encounter. Even Alice had moments were depression sunk over her, knowingly killing animals to sustain her life - and even a few humans when she couldn't suppress her urges in her younger years. Despite this, Alice believes that the Cullens as a whole lead good lives and would protect the people around them, humans included, if it was the right thing to do. As such, Alice likes to keep their entire vibe uplifting and calm. Alice likes to have fun and play around, and is often thought of as an actual pixie; her appearance and personality both combine to give her this nickname. Although Alice knows she may be considered as too-nice or accepting, she feels that being any other way only asks for enemies - and she doesn't like having those. Being a vampire causes for enough of them naturally. Alice's entire persona is enhanced by her loving environment provided by Jasper and the rest of her family, and as long as that environment remains secure and loving, Alice will continue to present herself in a very bubbly and fun manner.

RP SAMPLE:the day had come to meet him. for years, alice had wondered what jasper would be like when she met him. crazed, surely, from being a newborn, but alice would teach him the ways that she taught herself. vegetarianism. she roamed the wild plains, occasionally vacating an apartment for a few weeks until she grew tired of the place and moved. it was a hard life being alone and cursed to be that way for forever, but fortunately for alice, she wouldn't have to be. she wondered what other newborns did once their minds eroded of the blood-thirst and they realized fully that they would live until the ends of the earth. she'd been blessed to have the gift of premonitions transfer from her human to vampire form, and so allowed her to see that her future would be filled with love. what already felt like an eternity in waiting was finally time, and now all she had to do was show up herself.
it was 1948 in philadelphia. alice stood across the street from an empty diner, where one human was waiting tables inside. she knew that jasper would come there, looking for food most likely. she'd need to stop him, not to feed for herself but so that they could begin their journey together. she wasn't sure how much she'd be able to restrain him, but she'd try. the human might have a horrid experience with it, should she live. alice gulped thinking about it. ever since she'd aged and been able to control herself, she couldn't bear to think about killing humans anymore. sure, she wasn't so developed that a drop of human blood wouldn't tempt her - but she had control, now, something that she was willing to teach jasper so they could join the cullen coven in forks, washington.
alice hoped she looked suitable for the occasion. she wore her hair just above her shoulder at that point, and it curled tightly inward toward her face. she sported a lovely, black knee-length dress, with a white collar and white polka dots over it, with short, white high-heels. in that time, her hair was starting to bother her, and she was only just beginning to consider the concept of cutting it very short. for now, though, she wore it somewhat at her shoulders, depending on the occasion.
the excited alice finally decided to head into the diner, taking a booth near the window. the waitress behind the counter offered her a milkshake, to which she politely denied the offer and instead went for a water, hoping to hydrate herself. alice turned her attention to the windows, glancing at the dust that collected at the corners. she gave a small grin as she lifted her gaze and continued to stare out the window, waiting for the person - er, vampire - who would change her life, literally, forever.
